Recently Copied Files - Sort by option

Is there a way to see recently copied files? Is there some metadata or whatever it might be called when information is assigned when a file has been copied?

I'm copying bunch of files from a main server into a different folders on my local drive, so instead of going folder by folder (and sub-folder) looking for recently copied ones I wonder if there is a way to see this with a kind of Ctrl+B and then sort by some "column" on top, such as date, extension etc.

Copied files keep their original dates and times, which is something I also need, so option to rewrite original dates to current one wouldn't work for me in this case.

If there isn't a way to see this, consider this a suggestion.

If you copy file (not move), its creation date/time is set to current date/time. TC usually sorts by modify date/time. If you need to sort by creation date, you should use custom column set with creation date column in order to sort by that column.

I've been working on these files since 2012 and files I copied (not move) still have 2010 dates. ...so, seems like in my case TC is not set to current date.

I tried to find explanation on how to create that (or any) kind of a custom column, but am not really sure how to set "values" or what should be done in order to create a custom column that would show date copied on my drive. I can create a column, but then what? I don't understand what to do after Custom columns>New>Name>__what here?___>OK

Could you please help with steps for this particular one?

I just checked under:
Configuration>Copy/Delete>"General Copy/Delete options":

"Copy date/time of directories" is NOT checked. I didn't touch this since I installed TC. So, if I check it now, I know what will happen in the future, but I need both dates: original date of the doc and date copied to my drive.

You can make custom columns show 3 different file system dates:
1. Creation date
2. Write date
3. Access date

The date yuo see in TC's normal folder view, is the Write date - what you seem to want is the Creation date, which shows the date when a file with that name was first placed in the particular directory.

To make a custom column for that, you can either right click the tabstop header above the file panel and choose "Configure custom columns", or you can click "Configuration" -> "Options..." -> "Custom Columns"

Then Click the "New" button and enter a name of your own choice at the top in the Name field - call it for example Creation Date.

Then click the "Add column" button, and then click at the little [+] button at the far right.

Now click on "tc" and then on "creationdate" and then on <default> and the on OK twice - that's all there basically is to it.
