TC 64 bit questions: 1) disable plugins 2) crash in search..
I installed TC 64 bit 2 months ago.
I noted that my TC opens now very slow at first startup (after windows reboot) and sometimes also during the day.
1)
Is there a way to disable all plugins?
(I've seen that there is no 64 bit version of plugin manager)
2)
I noted that when I use TC without admin rights and do a search
click on >> to browse for a folder, the folder window is empty and when I click on the 'x' to close the window TC crashes.
There is no problem when I use TC with Admin rights.
What can be the reason?

1) I don't think that this is caused by plugins, sounds more like a slow virus scanner.
2) Sorry, cannot reproduce. Do you get any error address?

Thank you for your answer.
1) I don't have any virus scanner installed. I use the default virus scanner of window 8.
Do you think it is better to use an external virus scanner as avast to avoid slow down?
Btw... there is no way to temporary disable plugins?
2) No I had no message.. only something like this "TC did not respond. Do you want to close this window?"
I checked it again and now it works again.
I don't know what's happening all time (little slowdowns, windows do not respond.. etc) . I thought it has to do with my plugins. Maybe time to go back to the 32 bit version?

Just use Plugins Manager. It handles both 32-bit and 64-bit plugins.Btw... there is no way to temporary disable plugins?

Thank you.
I disabled all plugins and disconnected a network drive.
Now it works fine.
No problems anymore.
Have to check which plugin it is, or maybe it is the network drive.
But I forgot to tell in the first message that I also have difficulties to scroll at first time I connect to total commander (and still have).
I have a directory with 1500 files and when I drag the scrollbar to the end the scrollbar is blocked a few seconds half way before to go on scrolling.
After that, I can go on scrolling to the start and end of the file list without problems.

This is surprising - it would be very useful to know which plugin is causing this slowdown! Please try to find it.

I still haven't found the problem.
I suppose it is the connection with a network drive but I'm not sure.
There are more problems in my TC64 bit as I had before with TC32.
Don't know if it has to do with my pc or with TC.
Even if I use tcmatch, fill in a few characters I have to wait 2, 3 seconds before I see the results.
On my previous pc the results returned almost immediate.

Try different antivirus. MS Security Essentials (or Defender in Win8) is just a baseline protection for users who for some reason don't have a normal antivirus. And it's terribly slow. After I switched to AVG on one computer and Avira on other, loading icons from exe files sped up 2 or 3 times on both of them.
Also try to run TCx32 and TCx64 on the same computer with the same settings and compare them. Is TCx32 really faster?
