TC can synchronize subdirectories only if they have same structure.
Lets imagine an example:
Left window:
"Name_list" directory with two "A_K" and "L_Z" subdirectories.
(often changed network drive)
Right window:
"Favourite_persons" directory with two "Adam.txt" and "Leonardo.txt" files.
(my own C: drive)
There's no option to update files in my "Favourite_persons" with "Name_list" - I have to do it manually folder ("A_K") by folder ("L_Z").
Not even if I use my loved "Brach View" function (Ctrl + B). All files in "Favourite_persons" subdirectories are of course unique.
Chris, is there any hope it will be managed in any of next releases?
My real experience (or need) is with huge catalogue of CAD industry parts in complicated subdirectories structure. It's annoying day-by-day work to update my assemblies with new files.
Limited SubDir synchronization

You may try my Virtual Panel plugin, it allows to create folder with auto-fill script that will show merged contents of some physical folders so you'll be able to sync it with another folder.
Also you can create helper folder near Name_list and put hardlinks for your Adam.txt and Leonardo.txt into it. But you'll need to perform compare with contents because timestamps of hardlinks may be outdated (only contents is the same, and after opening file its timestamp is updated too).

I tried. Hard. For last hour. But I can't find any tutorial or manual how to work with your plugin. Also nothing useful in VP discussion.
I can see no change after install into TC. Does it only extend command line?
Hardlinks.. do you mean .lnk files? It seems useless to me because the catalogue folder often changes...
