Hi to everyone, I have one trivial question. Does changing of windows 7 default input language while moving files and folders from hard disk partition to external usb flash drive affect this process? In other words can this change do any harm to move operation in Total Commander and to files and folders being moved.
Sorry for this, answer is probably that it does not affect move operation at all and has nothing to do with moving functionality of TC but I just want to be sure since these files and folders are very important ones.
Thanks in advance!!! Sorry once again.

Doesn't this require a restart or at least a logout/login sequence to take effect?

Default input language (keyboard language) change does not require restart nor logout/login, changing current language for non-Unicode programs does require restart. So I have nothing to worry about? Moved files and folders are intact by this change of default input language (keyboard language) performed during move operation?

If you mean changing language of keyboard's input by pressing Alt+Shift, i don't think that will affect file/folder operations in anyway, because i do that for many years without any complain.
In general, when i'm working with important files, i never use Move command but i always use Copy command, after copying i do compare files and when i ensure both are identical, i delete the source files.

Yes, I did just that ts4242 (in fact with mouse not by pressing Alt+Shift) while moving files and folders. I have backup of these on another location but I just want to be sure that change of default input language (keyboard input language) can not affect move operation and files and folders being moved.
Files and folders are not damaged in any way? So your opinion is that everything is OK and I have nothing to worry about?

As i said, the safest way when working with important files is using Copy instead of Move then perform files compare.
