Bug by renaming files in desktop folder (solved in TC8.01)

Post by *Freddy »

Hello,

I experienced some weird thing this evening (I have never noticed that before) :
When I rename a file while being in the desktop system folder (using cm_OpenDesktop), the name of the next file (in alphabetical order) is changed at the same time ! That happens even if files are sorted by extension. If there is no next file (for example, if I try to rename an existing file called "ZZZ"), this is the previous file (still in alphabetic order) which is renamed at the same time.
This bug occurs only in the desktop folder.

I noticed that when I'm changing the name of the file, its extension is never showed despite it's showed in other folder

Configuration :
Windows 7 64 bits
TC 8.0 64 bits
config file : the option with which only the filename is selected, without the extension, is checked.

Thanks,
Fred

Sorry, cannot reproduce the bug.
Rename at desktop folder works fine with TC 8.01 64-bit.

Don't know if it is relevant, but I saw a note at TC change history:
History.txt of Total Commander 8.01 wrote:Fixed: When closing inplace rename with ENTER, the rename function was called twice by mistake in plugins (64)
You may update TC to 8.01 first.

BTW: I noticed, that at the French forum just TC 8.0 is announced, while at English and German forum states TC 8.01 since Aug 2012 ...

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
