how do I find ipad files when it is synched

I would like to be able to get info on my ipad files like size, names etc so I can decide how to copy/structure them on my pc. Now on my pc I see the name of my device Ipad: name or Iphone: name and it allows me to see the
folders but in Total Commander I don' get these options. Is there a way? or is there an update coming?
