Checksum on read only drive

Post by *krzysieks »

Hi,
I have read-only drive. I select all files, create check-sum file with path to another writable drive.
How to verify the check-sum afterwards?

Regards

Exactly the same way as in any other case.

Ok,
Check-sum file is from disk I: and lays on disk D:.
When I chose "verify check-sums" it compares check-sum file with files on disk D: (should do with disk I: )

You have to edit the sfv file and add the full path to the individual files.
E.g. sometestfile.dat BBF46EF8 -> r:\readonly\sometestfile.dat BBF46EF8

If you need this on a regular basis you should look for an external sfv utility that either adds the full path or checks against a given path.
