Why not minor updates instead of major updates ?

Post by *jslegers »

Hello,

I was wondering why Total Commander doesn't come more frequent with updates instead of one major update per 1 to 1.5 years. If I look at the history file a see there are a lot of fixes and new functions. Maybe Christian could give more updates like 8.50, 8.51, 8.52 instead of 8.5 and then 9.0. Maybe an idea for the future.

Why do you think 9.0 will be the next release? :)
Usually after major release one or two minor ones are released.
Look at 7.5x branch, it was a 2-year story: 7.50, 7.50a, 7.55, 7.56, 7.56a...

It would be nice if it would be like the 7.5X branch indeed.
Lucky guess for version 9.0
