FTP rename behaviour

Post by *krasusczak »

Hello i have question.., right now when on server i had two files indexxx.php & index.php (different files) & when i take rename for file index.php to indexxx.php (by mistake), it renamed this file but w/w any warning that file exist & gonna be replaced = i gonna lost permanently indexxx.php file........

Is there any chance to add check & warning option is that file exist on server when i want to rename something at it..?

Unfortunately this depends on the server - Unix-based servers often rename files without warning even if there is a file with the same name.
