[TC8.50RC3] Downloadfile 32+64 bit version has no extension

Post by *alm »

The downloadfile for TC8.50 RC3 32+64 bit combined package has no extension, so it downloads as tc850x32_64_rc3 instead of tc850x32_64_rc3.exe. The seperate 32 and 64 bit versions are ok.
Using TC since 1997, known as Windows Commander in the old days ;)

Hm. Cannot confirm.
Had downloaded the combined installer early this afternoon. No such problem occurred.
Have downloaded it again. Again no problem whatsoever occurred:

Code: Select all

tc850x32_64_rc3.exe	6.338.352	05.02.2014 21:05	-a--
Dowloading browser:
Firefox 27.0 on Linux Min13 this afternoon, Firefox 27.0 on Windows 7 SP1 this evening.
MX Linux 21.3 64-bit xfce, Total Commander 11.50 64-bit

The issue is with IE11, have tried also with FF 27.0 and Chrome 32 and those don't have this issue. Previous beta and RC-versions of TC8.50 did not have this issue in combination with IE11.

Maybe it's something in the GET parameters of the url (stuff after the "?") that confuses IE11?

Confirm with IE11.
The problem seems to be missing HTTP response field. For RC2 the server tells:

Code: Select all

Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="tc850x32_64_rc2.exe"
and for RC3 there is no such header.

I don't know why IE would then suppose the file mustn't have an extension, but there are many things I don't understand about this, so to say, browser…

Sorry, I have to set this field manually for EVERY upload with CloudBerry, and I forgot to set it for this file. Fixed.
