quick view on unicode files

Hello,

How can i cause total commander to identify signature of unicode text flles and show them correctly and not as double char ansi files?

Usually TC's Lister does recognize Unicode automatically - but you can force TC to show files as Unicode by pressing 6 on you keyboard once the file is opened in lister.

The 6 worked but i think there is a bug here.
Can i help with identifying it?

You cn upload an example of of one of those unicode files that your TC doesn't recognize - for the rest of us to test.

Your file is missing the Unicode header (Hex: FF FE), that is why TC doesn't recognize the file as Unicode.

Compare it to this file: http://madsenworld.dk/tcmd/unicode.zip which TC shows correctly.

How is your unicode.txt file made (which program) ?

I checked in the software i use (textpadf 7.x) and found the correct settings. (unicode bom they call it)
