Did I messed it up: wincmd.ini affects registration

Post by *alohaworld »

I've bought TC 8.51 and have received the license key by email.

However, When I tries to start totalCmd with a wincmd.ini brought from TCUP (Total Commander Ultra Prime), my TC shows the "select 1 2 3" splash window and failed to register.

Once when I switch to another wincmd.ini which is simpler than the one from TCUP, it registered successfully.

Could anyone tell me what should i do to avoid this strange thing?

Try to check keys StartupScreen and KeyPath in both INI files.

Look in the wincmd.ini for a statement KeyPath=
Change this to your key location.

Thank you indeed! I've put a wrong path for "KeyPath" value.

After modification of this value, everything goes well.
