I am FTPing the same file, about 1.9GB in size to the same receiving FTP server. Both of those are on premises and connected with 100mbit network. The 64bit TC goes about 300-400kb/sec (and can't keep it at a steady pace) whereas the 32bit TC goes the full 11,000kb/sec (11mb/sec).
Both tests were conducted with the same FTP options. Binary, No Compress during Transfer, No Passive mode.
Let me know if there is a fix or somebody else has the same experience.
Thank you.
64bit FTP too slow compared to 32bit FTP

nchalkias,
Can you please double-check the version numbers of the 32-bit and 64-bit versions you are using? There have been some changes in the recent versions and perhaps you updated only the 32-bit version by accident?

15.04.14 Fixed: FTP upload: When using dynamic upload block size, start with a size of 2048 bytes (instead of 512) to get faster more quickly (32/64)
12.03.14 Release Total Commander 8.51 beta 3 (32/64)
12.03.14 Added: Changed default value of UploadBlockSize to 1, meaning dynamic from 512 to 32768 bytes. First adjustment after 128k (32/64)
Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

You can try to set the upload block size manually:
wcx_ftp.ini
section [General]
UploadBlockSize=32768
