Verify after copying

Post by *darkside999 »

First of all I apologize for posting this message in the wrong section (TC Fixed bugs).
For this I'll rewrite here

Tonight I started to copy a directory from 1TB but TotalCommander has found an error and the copy has stopped. So I would know:

1) Is there a way to skip the errors and display them in the end (copy unattended)?
2) I Have clicked "ignore", the copy now has finished. But I don't know where are the errors. Is there a log ?
3) Trying again to copy the corrupt file I have not had any problems. It is probably a problem of the hard disk that is old. So a nice button "retry" it would be useful.

1. Yes. Edit wincmd.ini and add this:

Code: Select all

[Configuration]
SkippedFileCopy=1
This will copy all files without errors and ask about the ones with errors at the end.

2. Don't know. You can synchronize the source dir and the destination dir with subdirs and then find the differences.

Hi. Thanks for the reply

1) I have modified the wincmd.ini. Now I'll do some experiments.

2) Until now I have always used Synchronize. I was thinking that verify option was a better way to copy

I've used teracopy for copy/verify purposes for years now. It integrates into TC.
