OT: Seeking reliable SD card forum for dialog

Post by *JohnFredC »

My SDHC card crapped out at the end of my vacation taking over a 1000 pics with it.

Windows can see the card, but only proposes format, not repair.

My internet search for a remedy has not turned up a solution that addresses my specific issue, but it does appear that the SDHC low level "disk" structure is not a simple FAT volume and that special handling is required.

None of the SD card utilities I have downloaded see any of the images, so the problem is severe.

I am seeking "non-destructive" repair suggestions.

Would please someone recommend a (reliable) internet forum where such matters are discussed?

Thanks!

JohnFredC,
I do not know about a forum but PhotoRec has saved me twice already where Recuva failed.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Thanks for this tip. The PhotoRec site has a forum. I will start there!
