I often use shortcuts for folders, that I place in other folders for reference, for example I would have a link to our common policy folder from my product policy folder. When I click on that link to the common policy, I automatically get into the tree of the common policy folder.
I can then click on History, and go down to the second to last item on the list and get back to my product policy folder.
It would be nicer if there was a back button in the header of the list instead, that could easily get me back to the previous folder I came from. If you then added a forward button as well, then you would have the exact same experience as in Windows Explorer.
Just a suggestion

Back (Forward) Button

Hello, pingel.
Make your own suggestion come true:
Create a backward button <= and a forward button => in the Total Commander buttonbar and assign them to the T.C. internal commands cm_GotoPreviousDir and cm_GotoNextDir.
In case you should turn into a keyboard shortcut freak one day, like in Firefox you use the keyboard shortcuts <Alt><Cursor_Left> and <Alt><Cursor_Right> for the same purpose.
Cheers,
Karl
