Is there a plugin for quick view libreoffice files?

Post by *netsking »

I migrated my word process from MS word to LibreOffice (v4.3) instead of OpenOffice.
I have openoffice plugin, but it seems not working on libreoffice file even though both have the same extension.
I am wondering if there is a plugin for quick view libreoffice files.

Some more details will be helpful!

Which libreoffice files do you mean? (extension)
Which plugin do you use exactly? (name, version)

ULister (uses Oracle viewer files) can view everything.

The plugin download can be found here.
Some infos about what you need additionally here.

It might not be easy to set all things up, but once you get it done it works great.
TC plugins: PCREsearch and RegXtract

Thanks milo1012.
After installed ulister, I met many problems to qview a file.
Error message is "Outside In dlls not found in plugin dir. See readme.txt, install section." Looks like i got more trouble than benefit from uLister.
According to your 2nd guide, I decided not to install additional things for this plugins.

Sorry but what is the problem ?
Download the Oracle files zip (x32 or x64) and copy all files from the redist folder into the ULister plugin folder.
Simple and works perfect.

It asked outside dlls. It's x32.
It is not that easy. I did extract whole zipped ulister into plugin folder. there is no dll at all. Here is the list:
readme.txt
ulister.wlx
ulister.ini
formats.txt
pluginst.inf

any suggestion?

Read readme.txt from plugin pack.

"Download Viewer Technology: vw-8-3-7-win-x86-32.zip(or latest version if available) or vw-8-3-7-win-x86-64.zip(for x64 plugin version) from
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/content-management/downloads/oit-dl-otn-097435.html , you need accept license and register.
And copy "redist" folder to plugin folder."
It's impossible to lead us astray for we don't care even to choose the way.

Just double click on the plugin archive and TC will ask to install it. However, as was already pointed out, the plugin needs external DLLs which you should extract to the plugin's directory.

Thanks a lot. now i can view libreoffice files.
but I met a error message when I view pdf file as:
"ListLoadNex error:
Access violation at address 04CF73DF in module 'visuladirsize.wlx'. Read of address 00000160"

Looks like Ulister conflict with other pdf viewer. I am wondering if I can remove pdffilter (Filter.wlx) and remove pdf*.dll from ULIster. Because I like use Slister for view pdf, epub, mobi. djuv...

There is no conflict with other PDF viewer like SLister.
You can change the order of plugins in the config and move SLister before ULister. Then PDFs will always be viewed with SLister.
Thats exactly what I have.
You have a problem with a complete unrelated plugin visualdirsize.
Check the version of this plugin or remove it.

Thanks a lot. I put the Ulister after Slister and removed pdffilter. Everything looks fine now.
