Delete files with weird large filenames

I found and "inconsistency"in TC.

I created a file. The file path is 321 characters long. The file name itself is 253 characters long.

In TC I cannot remove it (skip? try as admin?). However, shift-F6 rename does work. So I rename it to x.html (6 characters).
Then I can delete easily.

This to be sounds strange, any idea's on what could be happening here?

Use Shift+Del to delete such files. You must bypass Recycle Bin here since Windows can't work with such long names.
