Go to the configuration dialog. Select "refresh when files are created.." and "update footer.." and click ok to close the dialog.
Disable "watch dirs" with the cm_SwitchWatchDirs command on the buttonbar.
Open the configuration dialog and add C (for example) to the "no refresh for these drives" editbox (the option "update footer.." is grayed out) and click ok to close the dialog.
Enable "watch dirs" again with the cm_SwitchWatchDirs command on the buttonbar.
Open the configuration dialog again. "Refresh when files are created.." is selected but the "update footer.." (or any other option) is no longer selected.

Hmm, I will check that. But I think it appens because when you disable watching dirs, the options are lost.
