I think you can try enabling compatibility/explorer copy method in TC copy/delete options...

This idea worked.

If the screenshot above does not work, I changed a couple of check boxes to Also use big file copy and Use Explorer delete method and the box for USB sticks was checked in Config-->Copy/Delete.
