Windows 10: Access denied on run executable programs?
Hallo, I just updated to Windows 10. I am not able to use Total Commander (8.52a or 8.5x too). I can run TC, I can browse through directories but I can not run executable programs (directly or associate). I get this error "Access denied!" If I run TC as admin, or user - still the same.
Can you halp me?
Radovan
P.S. If I run some associated programs (extensions), I get error? "Error executing program (8)!"

Why?

This sounds like something is blocking TC or modifying its behavior based on its path. Maybe a weird security solution. Or maybe broken Windows Compatibility settings.
When you have the TC in the original directory (and it doesn't work), check the executable's Properties->Compatibility tab. Under normal circumstances, nothing should be checked there.

Hello Radovan,
wincmd.ini
Roman
wincmd.ini
RestrictInterface= Disable parts of the user interface. Just build the sum of the following options:
[...]
128=ENTER key (run programs, open files)

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
My fault :-(
Sorry that I answer so late.
I analyzed the path to the TC directory in the Windows registry => I'm ashamed of my post.
With new Win10 I installed new firewall. Firewall blocked TC directory as an unknown program directory.
My fault. Sorry. Thank you all for your help.
