Here is a more fancy idea. Known from the Windows taskbar where the mouse hover color adapts to the color in the middle of the icon I could imagine something similar for TC.
The new view mode icon and colors in tab headers could work similar. The user picks an icon and the tab color is automatically chosen based on the main color of the icon.
A more subtile way to add this would be to add the main color of the icon to the tab color selection dropdown. I would prefer this solution.
