[fixed] Latency between right click and opening context menu

Post by *redfox »

Please, is there a settings to set the time latency between right clicking a file and opening the context menu?

I'd like to set it shorter, approx. between 300-500 ms.

Thank you.

Select files and or folders as usual and just hit the RightMouseKey on keyboard (usually right from SPACE, between WIN and CTRL). It opens windows context menu instantly, as it should.

Or switch to standard Windows behavior. Ctrl + left click to select, right click for context menus.
We are not so S.M.A.R.T. as we imagine...

The selection with right mouse button is much faster.

EDIT: If you disable the progress bar via ContextProgress=0, the delay is acceptable (a bit lower). So I am satisfied.

Fixed in beta 13!
"... Added: wincmd.ini [Configuration] PopupDelay=500 delay in milliseconds after pressing right mouse button until context menu is shown (shorter right click or click+drag just selects file) (32/64)..."

Mr. Ghisler, thank you very much!

500 is the default. Try using e.g. 100, it's still fast, but you can right click+drag to select files too!
