AutoUpdate question

Post by *petermad »

23.10.16 Fixed: Auto update check function: Added possibility to disable auto update checks, or set longer interval via auto-update server response (32/64)
Hasn't there been a possibility to disable the auto update check all the time since TC9b3?

How does the user do this: "set longer interval via auto-update server response" ?

I realised that TC can now auto-check for update only from the new item in the Help menu "Check for update now" (and then a few words in the History). Currently it's one of the most obscure options in Commander, no obvious way how to configure it, no description how does it work in the Help either. Does it work at every start of TC, or once a day, or we can set a different interval, like once a week etc?

Could you please add some info about this, at least on the website.

OK, I will add it to the help. The fix I added was that the server can tell the client when it should look again for a new version. Currently it's 6 hours for beta versions, 1 day for release.
