There is a bug on pre-saved paths like "\\Desktop\" that you can reach trough the address bar.
E. g. when you choose "\\Desktop\" or other pre-saved paths i'm unable to make file operations, like generating sha sums...

"\\Desktop\" is a virtual folder - so not all functions are supported - often because of restrictions from the OS.

No, you are choosing files with a path beginning with "\\Desktop"!... you are choosing a specifed file that has an absolute path, but the wrong path is transfered.
This is a virtual folder.
If you want to work with a real path, just use "cd %$DESKTOP%" instead
