hi, im wondering what kind of information is passed to TC.
eg filesize - if i press space on a directory, is the occupied size delivered from everything?

No to my knowledge.
Everything delivers the size of every entry but TC has to travers the tree and add the sizes.

But probably, as Horst.Epp quoted, TC has to sum up all sizes by traversing the tree.

The size is only returned for files, not folders.
