Yes, it works (shows link info) BUT when I close the lister window, TotalCMD quits (without any message).

I cannot reproduce that. I tried it on WinNT 4.0 (w/o SPs) on Virtual PC and it worked correctly.

LinkInfo 1.42
Changes:
1. The icon now is drawn on the same background as main RichEdit background (before it was drawn always on white).
2. Added possibility for calling commands "Save", "Save As...", "Close" on dialog from keyboard (letters for calling are underlined, as in menus).
3. The icon of link on folder is now showed.

BTW, I think, it is better to install SP6a on your system. Or maybe replace mfc42.dll and msvcrt.dll on newer versions. I had some troubles when I tried to use older versions of these DLL's, maybe your problem is the same...

I didn't understand, what you mean. I tried an old version - 5.0 and now - 5.3, and both them work under XP correctly.

Version 1.5 is available.
Download: http://wincmd.ru/files/wlx_linkinfo_1.5.rar
Main changes:
1. Now icon is shown always, for absolutely every link file.
2. More correct work with links on system objects (My Computer, Control Panel etc.).

For long time this plugin will not be updated (if there is no huge bugs of course), as for summer I will go home and I have no Internet there.

Tell me please, is plugin has such behaviour on any LNK-file, or on some particular files? And how LinkEditor behaves on these files?
What if open such file in LinkEditor, change something, save it and then view it with the plugin - will it close TC on exit or not?

Addition:
I've written a logging version of 1.5. On viewing any LNK-file it creates a log file C:\LinkInfo.log. Who has the same bug with closing TC, download please this version and try to use it instead of normal version 1.5 (all other functionality remains the same). Then send me the created file C:\LinkInfo.log, or simply post it contents here (the file is quite small). It contains only information about the latest start, so if you want log-files for different LNK-files, you should save it in other folder manually.
You can download the logging version here: http://flint-inc.ru/Tests/LinkInfo_1.5.debug.rar
It collects only the information about plugin's running trace and possible bugs, no private info is written into LinkInfo.log (you can simply look through it to ensure this).
