How to automate network drive mapping?

Post by *tjsuominen »

Hi all!

My case is as follows (Windows 10, TC 9.0a 64.bit):

1. I use a NAS drive for storing files
2. NAS is "on sleep" > when I wanna use, I wake it with "Wake on Lan"
3. with TC > Map Drive

Now I would to be able to automate the 3rd step aka with a single button click from TC's interface always map the NAS's shared folder as drive L: (\\networkname\folder).

1. Can that be automated with "pure" TC and how?
2. If not, what I would need for TC?

Cheers,
Timo

Does the command "net use L: \\networkname\folder" work in your case? Just try it from the command line. If the answer is Yes then create a button with the above command.
