Bind Quick Search settings to folder
Hi
Normally I have the Quick Search settings to "Beginning".
When the current folder is changed to a specific folder, I would like TC to automatically adjust the Quick Search settings and remove the "Beginning" and set it again when changing the folder again.
My idea is to have a folder where I collect shortcuts to common folders I use, and then quickly select them by entering the name.

Unfortunately there is no internal command to do that.
But why don't you use the Dir Menu Hotlist to reach your preferred folders ?

You can also start your quick search with an asterisk (*), e.g. to override the "Beginning" setting.

Code: Select all

Thanks for your suggestion, but it doesn't work for me. * just toggles the selection.Dalai wrote:You can also start your quick search with an asterisk (*), e.g.to override the "Beginning" setting.Code: Select all

I properly misunderstood you about shift+ctrl+s.sqa_wizard wrote:Just press Shift-Ctrl-S to reapply last Quick Filter ...
But while trying it out, I learned that I can open the search dialog with ctrl+s combined with the * trick from Dalai, I have a solution that's close enough to what I want.
Thanks for your help.

With QuickSearch Extended you may change the match beginning option on the fly in an additional GUI.
