Unpack bug?

Post by *Eug »

Hi all!
At first - sorry for my english.
Problem: when I pack directory with internal files (internal ZIP packer)
and try unpack this archive, a have files separately and directory
separately too. With Tar.gz archives too. (XP,Ver 6.02 & 6.03a)
( ZIP(/Dir/*.*) >>> UNZIP >>> /*.* + /Dir)
It is unpack bug?

Have you checked the chcekbox "Unpack path names if stored with files" in the Unpack files dialog?

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

You don't have to be sorry :-)
No, Christian chose not to remember this setting. I personally am happy with that, as I would forget to unset it ;-)
I switched to Linux, bye and thanks for all the fish!

If I am not mistaken, TC simply remembers the last state of the flag.
I.e. if you ticked the flag last time, it will be ticked the next time you open the unpack dialog box.
If you unticked it it last time, it will be unticked the next time you open the unpack dialog box.
So if you tick it once and never untick it, it will be ticked for good.

Kind regards,
Karl

Hmm. My only possible excuse for this mistake is that i was tired  i thought of the "Unpack each archive to a separate subdir (name of the archive)" setting.
I switched to Linux, bye and thanks for all the fish!
