continue in the night

Post by *Derksen »

I have bought a new (larger) external 6TB HDD and am (already days) busy copying everything to there. In TC I unfortunately miss the possibility to switch off pop ups and to be able to set the choice for example "overwrite older", and "retain large file names" and such notifications.
Now I think the PC is busy all night and I find out in the morning that he is waiting in for an OK. Sad:(
Is there a solution for this?
or a plugin ? :roll:

Yes, you missed them ;). Click on Options in the copy dialog and set the Overwrite options according to your needs. Also, you might want to take a look at Configuration > Options > Misc > Get confirmation before. And if you have overly long file names, you might want to set LongNameCopy:

Code: Select all

LongNameCopy=0 During file operations, warn if target name is longer than 259 characters:
0=always
1=never
2=if source name isn't longer than 259 characters
3=disallow long names
And, last but not least, this question was asked before, so there is already plenty of information on this topic.
