shortcut for 'midnight commander'-like top-bottom panels [Horizontal View][solved]

Post by *novellguy »

Hey all

Maybe I missed it but here is a question, I am a above novice linux user and love midnight commander and would like to know if our beloved TC has a shortcut like ALT+, which turns mc into a top bottom configuration for extra long file names?

Thanks for any help

2novellguy with default TC, you should have a entry in Show menu for that.

"Vertical Arrangement"

That calls the TC-internal command: cm_VerticalPanels=305;File windows above each other

With "Configuration> Options...> Misc. " you can assign a keyboard shortcut to "cm_VerticalPanels"

"cm_VerticalPanels" is a toggle, call it again to switch to horizontal view and vice versa back and for.

HTH? :D
