ftp caching issue

Post by *nirmelamoud »

hi,

I notice , lately (dont think it happened before, so might be related to one of the latest upgrades) that the following happened
1. I connect to an ftp site and upload a file or a folder, when done I do nothing maybe close the tab or maybe not
2. a while later (lets say the next day) I want to upload another file / folder
3. I open a tab, connect to the same ftp (shortcut in directory menu) and I do not see the file (Ido get a message that the connection disconnected and I do click connect again)
4. if I refresh I will see the file

fairly easy to reproduce, but take time

any idea ?

Is this a continuation of your old topic? https://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=51557&start=15
Maybe you should dig deeper in FTP settings?

Some more questions: Do you close TC between FTP sessions? Do you use proxy (or any caching software. f.e. internet security suite) for FTP connection?

Are you sure you disabled caching for the FTP connection? It's on the following page: Ctrl+F - Edit - second tab.
Author of Total Commander

I did not turned total commander cache off because it should not matter, as I used the same instance of totoal commander to upload the file, so it has to be in the total commander cache, (unless its a bug that the cache is not updated on write,)
