Shown size & number of files in directory

Post by *WilliamTi »

I'm certain there used to be this option but cannot remember have to make it happen. I wish the footer to show the number of files in a directory or sub-directory - can anyone please help?

"Configuration" -> "Options..." -> "Layout" -> "Show status bar"

This willl show the number of files and directories in the current directory.

You can set the units (bytes/kbytes/dynamic) in the footer here: "Configuration" -> "Options..." -> "Tabstops" -> "Header/footer" (in the bottom).

If you want the size of the directories (and their sub-dirs) calculated you can press Shift+Alt-Enter - then the size will be shown next to each directory

Note calculating folder sizes can take a long time unless you use "Everything" ("Configuration" -> "Options..." -> "Operation" -> "Calculate space occupied by subdirectories" -> "'Everything'"), and you have to set 'Everything' up to index folder sizes ( https://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?p=344501#p344501 )

In "Show" -> "Brief Ctrl+ F1" -view only if at least one file or directory is marked.

Same thing whith "Commands" -> "Branch View (With Subdirs) Ctrl+B"
And with Search result:: "Commands" -> "Search Alt+F7" -> "Start search" ----> "Feed to listbox"
