Yes, e.g. when using TC in combination with "Everything".
In TC … Search for:
☑ 'Everything' (must be ticked!)
Explanation to child: http://www.voidtools.com/support/everything/searching/#functions
Windows 10 Pro (x64) Version 1809 (OS Build 17763.503) | TC 9.22a x64/x86
☑ 'Everything' | Everything - Version 1.4.1.941 (x64) | How to use TC <=> Everything
In TC … Search for:
Code: Select all
ev:child:*.flac
Explanation to child: http://www.voidtools.com/support/everything/searching/#functions
Windows 10 Pro (x64) Version 1809 (OS Build 17763.503) | TC 9.22a x64/x86

Re: can i search folder that contain for example flac audio files?
Well, without using the program "Everything" this solution does not work.
But in principle it is quite simple - see also the (download) links in my signature above.
I recommend the following procedure:
1. Check if you are using a 32 bit or 64 bit Windows (see: system information or ...)
1.1 Press Windows key and Pause key simultaneously --> System type, e.g. 64-bit operating system
2. Download a portable version (download link in my signature above) to any folder,
2.1 E.g. Everything-1.4.1.935.x64.zip or Everything-1.4.1.935.x86.zip
2.1 If you are not sure, just take the "Everything-1.4.1.935.x86.zip".
3. Extract the files to a folder on your system drive (usually drive C:) -->
3.1 by marking the file (e.g. Everything-1.4.1.935.x64.zip), pressing Ctrl + PageDown (content of the .zip file will be displayed)
3.1 and then copy the 2 files e.g. to C:\Tools\Everything (previously create folder "Tools" and subfolder "Everything" on drive C:)
4. I recommend you the following settings in "Everything"...
Everything: Tools > Options... > General: [X] Start Everything on system startup
Everything: Tools > Options... > General: [ ] Run as administrator (do NOT tick!)
Everything: Tools > Options... > General: [X] Everything Service
Everything: Tools > Options... > Indexes: NTFS ... Here you can select the drives (NTFS-formatted!) you want to index,
e.g. Local Disk (C:) [X] --> Include in database, Enable USN Journal Logging, Include USN Journal in recent changes, Monitor changes
etc. ... you can also check the remaining settings occasionally ...
The search query in TC as shown above should then work.
But I also recommend you to have a look at the valuable hints in my signature above under "How to use TC <=> Everything" as well.
