Selection should follow CTRL+U

Post by *wanderer »

When CTRL+U is pressed and panel contents are swapped, the selection in each of the panels does not follow.

Example (enclosed within brackets is the selected item in each panel):

Panel 1
..Item1.1
..[Item1.2]
..Item1.3

Panel 2
..[Item2.1]
..Item2.2
..Item2.3

When CTRL+U is pressed, the panels look like this:

Panel 1
..Item2.1
..[Item2.2]
..Item2.3

Panel 2
..[Item1.1]
..Item1.2
..Item1.3

Wouldn't it be better if "Item2.1" and "Item1.2" were selected respectively, like it was before CTRL+U was pressed? I believe it would and i propose it as a feature but does anyone think this would not be convenient and why?

Ha! Thanks for the pointer. I guess things are a little more complicated than what it seemed.
