TC bug: on Drag'n'Drop

Post by *Kite »

When I Drag'n'Drop some file from Explorer to TC using right mouse button and choose "Create shortcut", I am asked "Rename/Move...", and if I will click "Yes" then will be created shortcut (.lnk), but with name of original file.

Copy & crash !

Post by *Clo »

:) Hi all !

¤ Under Win 98 SE, the file is simply copied, without any prompt...
* But when closing the Explorer-window on the desktop, I got a nice Explorer crash, needing a hard reboot, 'cause all was frozen (even Ctrl+Alt+Del didn't work) :(

¤ Except to get a third "panel" ;), I don't see why to use Explorer and TC together. TC is enough, one can always move, copy and so on from a panel to the other :P

 Kind regards,
Claude

That's it, exactly.

It's useful for Drag&Drop from and to the desktop for example. ;)

This is mighty vicked! The popup menu that appears by this operation is clearly owned by TC (can be seen when TC uses a different language then the system, the popup menu is in language set in TC). I've checked this on a older 5.51 and it's there too
Clearly a "misfunction" I doubt that it's some hidden feature functionality in this.

It's probably some missed leftover from the past. By the number of features that TC supports it seems natural that this one might somehow slipped
Don't Panic! We have Total Commander...
