Auto-replace characters when creating new folders
I often create folders by copying the product names from a TXT file, for example "DC290/12" and if I paste that as a folder name, it will create a main folder called "DC290" and a subfolder inside called "12". I've gotten used to manually replaceing / with - so I ended up with "DC290-12" but it has always bothered me having to use my keyboard for that every time. Is there a way to "teach" Total Commander to automatically replace "illegal" characters with "legal" ones when creating folders? For example turn / into - or a single double-quote " into two single quotes '' or ? into nothing ?

Me think you should utilize a scripting language of your OS, as the possibilities for such an feature are too much.
Or use an good text editor to manipulate your TXT file before.
And BTW, for better readability of your post, here are some linebreaks for you:

Perplexer,
Could be easily done using AutoHotkey or such.
