Search doesn't work for a specific combination with characters ":\\"

Post by *flashGHIS »

Hi,
Files search or search inside file via Lister (file consist string B:\\D...[any chars]...) ends without success
How to repeat:
-create and save a text file with a string "B:\\DERTYU" (with or without commas; characters ":\\" must be in the line)
-try to find a file with the text "B:\\D" (or full string) via Alt-F7 or open file in Lister and use F7 to find the same text.

Windows 10 1909, Russian
Total Commander 9.22a 64 bit (2019-03-29)

The search in Lister interprets backslashes in a special way:
\n -> line break
\t -> tabstop
\\ -> single slash \

Therefore to find two backslashes you need to search four, e.g. "B:\\\\D" in your case.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.
