plz, make it possible to define mark and focus color by file type.
- background and text color when marked by file type
- background and text color when focused by file type
I think it is a necessary feature.

Find how much file types there are, how much colors you can distinguish and remember. And then ask yourself if this is a good question.

I think that it's easy to add "Override cursor font color with color defined by file type", but:
* How do you want to do similar override for selected files? Override background color? With what color - with inverted color defined by file type (as on photo negative image) maybe?
* And what about file selected under cursor? Override both font and background color?
I think that multicolor background for selection will be distracting and it won't be easy to understand that all those colored stripes are in real just one selection.
Or maybe I don't understand your request…

As you can see from the image linked above,
Even when a file is selected, the color makes it easier to differentiate between extensions.
I think it is a good functions.
This function is also supported by Directory Opus.

Could you explain colors on your picture, please? Where is the cursor?

All files/folders with color background are selected, I suppose? It means you want to swap font and background color rather than invert colors for selection… For me it's too distracting, intuitive selection should be more uniform.
And what do you propose for people using inverted cursor?
