Extract to folder in one click

Post by *bogordo »

Hi,

I have my 7zip configured to extract directly doing double click (Windows file explorer), is it possible to achieve this in TC?

I use TC with "Open files and directories with a single click", instead of entering/viewing the content of the .ZIP i would like to get the "extract to folder" when clicking it...

You need to uncheck the following:
Configuration - Options - Packer - Treat archives like directories

However, this affects all archive types including zip. You can still open archives internally with Ctrl+PageDown.

If you want to keep this functionality, you need to
1. Define an internal association for *.7z to your command
AND
2. Use Shift+Enter to open the archive with it

Thank you Mr. Ghisler,

Extracting with one click works perfect and internally open with Ctrl+PageDown too for .zip, .7z, don't understand the need/function of your second part of "Internal association..." :?

bogordo,
don't understand the need/function of your second part of "Internal association...
Christian was trying to say that If you want to go inside archives using Enter and unpack using Shift-Enter, you can use Internal Associations.

Mal angenommen, du drückst Strg+F, wählst die FTP-Verbindung (mit gespeichertem Passwort), klickst aber nicht auf Verbinden, sondern fällst tot um.

Could you please develop more? the "internal association for *.7z to your command" what command are we talking about?
I associated ZIP with ""C:\Program Files\7-Zip\7zFM.exe" "%1"" and now it is open with Enter in a separate window.
The Shift-Enter not working for unpack, only for entering inside the ZIP

Thank you.
