Post by *LM »

Maybe it has already well known, but nevertheless: type "cd c:\\\\\\" and hit enter. You may type as much slashes as you want.

:) Hello, welcome on board !
¤ Yes, you can type as so many \ as you want, but @home it doesn't work more : I don't get the drive root…
…that is much easier using the [\] "root" button :P
- Under Win 98 SE - TC 6.03a

 Kind regards,
Claude

hello
I knew about [\] button - I just want to say that if you type, for example, "cd c:\Program files\Windows Media Player\\\\\\\\\\\" and than try to do something, that does not concern TC you probably get error or wrong action. For example, try:
"cd c:\Program files\Windows Media Player\\\\\\\\\\\", Enter
put cursor on mplayer2.exe
hit Alt+Enter to view properities - nothing will happen

ok
but I is not just a question about context menu
Windows can not analyze properities from file
"c:\Program files\Windows Media Player\\\\\\\\\\\wmplayer.exe"
so I think TC should remove multiple backslashes for full compatibility
