I ask Christian, If he could share The story and philosophy behind TC

Post by *aviasd »

Hi

I've been a long time user of TC... Probably around 2002 is when I first discovered it, after looking for a good windows alternative for good old Norton Commander. It did not leave me ever since.

There are a handful of programs that are close to my heart and TC is one of them (Sharing 1st place with Everything). It is strange how you can care about a software and develop relationship with it.

I've been working in IT for the past 20 years and the time and effort that I would spend if I didn't have TC - Well... I don't even want to think about it...
Now I mostly work with Mac, on which I'm Totally missing TC  . I am using Wine+TC but it's not the same.

And as a user who has such a bond with the software, I'd really like to ask Christian, If he could share some of his thoughts and feelings about TC - As I grew with TC for most of my adult life, it has evolved and grown as well - I'd like to know how it was developing such a software over the years, working with a fan base which is highly dedicated and involved (and loyal), making decisions about the directions TC should take, and developing a software which IMHO would attract power users to it with naturaly, just because it offers them exactly what they need.

Thanks,
Avi
