"Paste Pad" in file window
Suppose you want to copy a file from Windows Explorer and paste into Total Commander, if the list of files in the file windows are short, you can right click on an empty area at the bottom of the file window and select "Paste". However, if the files in the file windows fill up the window, there is no empty space to right click.
Suggestion: To have an place in the file window (both left and right windows) so that you can right click even if the file windows are full.
If there is already such a place, please kindly guide me how to do it.
Thanks

For example try the address bar, behind (right of) the *.*
Or on the ".. go-up" line
Or on the ".. go-up" line

Re: "Paste Pad" in file window
What the...?
The double-dot ".." represents the parent directory. So, logically, excuting "Paste" from the ".." context menu should paste the files in the parent directory. Okay, well, to be pedantic, right-clicking on ".." does not bring up the context menu for the parent directory, even though the right-click was on "..". One more TC quirk i didn't notice until now.

Hello,
At the very bottom of the full window below the last file there is a free line on which you can paste it
Your turn to try

That depends on the height of the TC window (maximized or not), the chosen toolbars, system and filepanel font setting etc. - you cannot rely on there being a free line below the last filename. At the very bottom of the full window below the last file there is a free line on which you can paste it

So far, as I can see, right-click and copy in Exploerer followed by right-click and paste in TC only works for free space under last file (if any free space) or at the Current directory bar.
Drag-and.drop works everywhere in the file panel - if I drop on a foldername the file will be copied to that folder. If I drag on an archive (zip, rar, arj, lzh only), then TC will offer to add the file to the archive.
Drag-and-drop does not seem to work anywhere else from external programs, but inside TC drag-and drop works a lot of places:
