large file mass transfer to removable disk

I have bunch of large PS2 gamecd iso image files in my hdd. Today I was copying them to my 1tb removable hdd which support usb 3.0 connection. Selected +20 of files(+100G size total) and hit the button. The copying process was not stable as imagined. Transfer speed was fluctuating, tcmd hanged and rebooted to start the job again.

TCMD setting are intact from initial setup. Nothing changed from factory settings. Tried again and result was same.

I use windows 10 pro on AMD 3600X with good cooling system. I never suspected my system is lame.

After all, I turn back to stock explorer of Windows 10 and everything was smooth.

That's it. Recently some people says TCMD is not stable as it had been done back in old days. Please look into these issues my happen to others.

It sounds like the harddisk isn't getting enough power - writing uses more power than reading. Try a different cable, if possible the one which came with the disk.
