You mean like it is done when "Flat icons" is disabled in the Button bar setting ?

Yes. When disabled I have blue background of icons, I want avoid it.

You could create a button with a 100% transparent .ico file, but it would have the width of a normal button.

I can't create button without tooltip.

Whats the problem with the tooltip, it doesn't use any space.
You can make an empty tooltip by just entering one space into the Tooltip field

Sorry, but I ask for option, not about workaround. I know about existed options
