I can't change the font type in "Compare contents" window

Post by *allonmorris »

In "Compare contents" window, no matter which font I chose, TC always uses system default fixed width font to display the differences, in either text mode or binary mode. The font size is changed after I choose a different size, but the font type (the name) is always the same.

Not confirmed - for example, I'm using Arial here, and the text is not fixed width.

Which font did you try to use?

I noticed that if I try to change to a raster font (for example Courier) and the font size is not in the list of predefined sizes, then the font is not changed.

If I change to a vector font (like Lucida Console of Courier New), there is no problem in using a not predefined size (like 7).

That's one of the reasons why I asked the author which font he chose. Another restriction is the font character set: For example, when the user chooses a font which only contains Latin characters, but then shows Chinese or Russian texts (Unicode), Windows will by itself pull these characters from a different font (font substitution).
