Since the introduction of the vertical bar, there is no separating line anymore.Help - Quick view wrote: If you make the quick view panel larger and choose 'save position', Total Commander will use this width for the quick view panel independent from the normal position of the separating line.
I also think the help text can be improved. For example, the help text says:
But is doesn't simply open a lister window.Help - Quick view wrote: This command opens a small lister window inside Total Commander instead of one of the file panes.
I tried to write a better help text. Perhaps you can use this:
Quick view
This command enables Quick view mode where the contents of the file under the cursor are shown in the other panel. The bar above the file contents shows the name of the file followed by the name of the Lister plugin used, or in the case of music tracks, the name of the track and the artist. When the cursor is on a folder, information about the occupied space is displayed.
The shortcut key to enable Quick view is CTRL+Q. To disable Quick view press CTRL+Q again or select another drive in the Quick view panel.
The Quick view pane is actually a Lister window, so when the Quick view panel is active, you can use the same keyboard shortcuts as in Lister. For example CTRL+F (or F7) to search.
If you make the Quick view panel larger and select the menu option Configuration/Save position, Total Commander will use this width for the Quick view panel independent from panel sizes when Quick view mode is disabled.
CTRL+SHIFT+Q displays a Separate Quick view window, which is also based on Lister. In the title bar of a Separate Quick view window, an asterisk (*) is displayed after the text "Lister" to differentiate between normal Lister windows. You can save the window position by selecting the menu option Options/Save position. This will save the window position for Separate Quick view windows only and not for normal Lister windows.
