Detach active quick view panel to a separate active window

Post by *Fla$her »

When I edit something in QuickView mode or music plays in it, sometimes I need to separate the panel to go back to navigation without losing the current edit/playback, or turn on the full-screen mode of the current video that doesn't work from QuickView. I need a hotkey to separate from active QuickView.
cm_SeparateQuickView doesn't work like that, alas.

To my knowledge it's not possible to detach a child window and make it a standalone window. It has to be closed and recreated, which would lose any media playback.

And it's impossible to remember the state in memory in any way, so that after opening it in a separate window, you can return to it? At least for the built-in player?

It would be very difficult but doable for the internal player, but not doable for plugins.
