The cm_VolumeId command does not allow you to set a disk label with Cyrillic text.
Only latin characters are supported, if you try to save a label with russian letters
is used, the program displays a message about invalid characters which are not in the input field.

Confirmed. It seems some Cyrillic are allowed and some characters, like for example о and п, are not allowed in Total Commander when changing the volume label.

Confirmed. The function can actually do it, but the check for forbidden characters was wrong.
